A Book Review

This story provided  a new slant on the events of World War 2.  In addition to learning a new version of the events, I learned how the French dealt with Hitler and World War 2.  This story included lessons on how to make perfume, how to move on after death and how to make the best out of bad situation.  The story included events that were not generally reported in history classes.  For example, how one member of a family used the most minute ethnic aspect of their history in order take advantage of a situation.  This is a historical novel that I recommended to my book club.  We enjoy reading about history with a different slant and this book definitely fills that bill.
