Well, I learned or re learned an important lesson: SAVE BLOG in DOCUMENTS before posting. Oh well, its Spring Break and the forecast: 1-2 inches of snow tonight and 3-5 inches on Saturday. I plan on catching up on all my writing chores and assignments , while my husband and child shovel snow. (They have a snow removal business).
The time has passed and I have some things to celebrate:
— Mercer Mayer liked my book review page on Facebook (Michelle Dragalin’s Book
— Four publishing companies contacted me about reviewing books for them and one is a
— I received my first invitation on Net galley
Now I have some chores to catch up. I am an elf for Julie Hedlund’s 12×12 membership. January and part of February was spent helping to set up critique group and now I need to check on them and make sure all is well. I have noted some great messages from members thanking their critique group, so it looks as if things are going along well. In addition, I need to check on the other forum “Help and Author Out” and make sure all is well.
There have been some hiccups as well to take care of; I have some books I promised reviews to a long time ago and I need to get those out. I have read the books, I just need to pos the reviews. I have about 6 reviews in the hopper when to be exposed to the world and I finished 10 books tonight. In addition, my own critique group have suffered in the past two weeks and I need to make them up by completing my critiques. Finally, I want to join an in person critique group and I need to email out the critiques I did for them but was unable to attend last weeks meeting due to oversleeping. I have some assignments and articles that I need tow write. I am sure all of you can relate there are just chores that get put on the back burner when new opportunities come into play and I need to make sure I take care of the things that got me to this point.
